Description
The Corsair RM850 is a premium, 850-watt 80+ Gold certified power supply unit (PSU) engineered for high-performance gaming rigs and workstations. It is highly regarded for its quiet operation, power efficiency, and clean, modular cable management.
📐 Physical & Technical Design
- Form Factor: Standard ATX layout, making it compatible with almost all mid-tower and full-tower PC cases.
- Fully Modular Cables: You only plug in the cables your build actually needs. This eliminates clutter, improves airflow inside the case, and makes cable routing significantly easier.
- Aesthetics: Features a clean, matte black finish with low-profile, black sleeved or flat cables that blend seamlessly into any build theme.
⚡ Performance & Efficiency
- 80 PLUS Gold Certified: Guarantees up to 90% energy efficiency under typical loads. This means less power wasted as heat, lower electricity bills, and cooler operational temperatures.
- Robust Power Delivery: Built with heavy-duty 105°C-rated industrial-grade capacitors and solid DC-to-DC conversion. It ensures rock-solid voltage stability and clean power delivery to sensitive components like your GPU and CPU.
- Modern Standby Compatible: Supports Windows Modern Standby, allowing your PC to wake up from sleep mode more than twice as fast while maintaining high efficiency during low-power idle states.
🤫 Acoustic Performance
- 135mm Rifle Bearing Fan: Equipped with a specially tuned fan curve to keep noise levels to an absolute minimum, even at full load.
- Zero RPM Fan Mode: At low to medium power loads (like web browsing or light office work), the fan shuts off entirely for complete silence. The fan only spins up when the system begins demanding heavy power.
🛡️ Reliability & Protection
- Industrial Safety Suite: Includes built-in protections against over-voltage, under-voltage, short circuits, over-power, and over-temperature.
- 10-Year Warranty: Backed by Corsair’s comprehensive 10-year warranty, making it a long-term investment that can safely outlast multiple PC upgrade cycles.
